Samsung smx-f34 flash camcorder to DVD

I have a new Samsung SMX-F34 camcorder, Format H264. I have it set to the superfine setting, 16:9. I have played around with Sony Vegas 9 for a bit and have found that set to interpolate gives me the best looking DVDs. I’m not very good with this digital stuff; I’m still stuck back in the 35mm age, and I’m sure I’m overlooking something. If someone could please tell me the best settings to render in Vegas studio 9 and Architect 5.1 to give me the best DVDs to play in any or most players, I would be most appreciative. I just want to take family videos and sporting events and put them on DVDs. And maybe have a fun project with my daughter to make a few movies. Thanks a lot.

Great, thanks for that. Where should I set the deinterlace? I tried it without, and the interlace really showed. Should I make any certain settings in the DVD software before I burn?
