Same as Source export at 352 x 243
Exporting my current project as “Same as Source” gives me a 352×243 S resolution result.
Footage is standard DV 720×480. I’ve never run across this before.
I tried everything I could think of.
Trying to isolate the issue, I thought perhaps it was the graphics from Marquee I used. I used Avid’s Marquee Title Tool for the first time. However, exporting 3-5 seconds from a portion of the sequence with absolutely no graphics and with the least tracks (1 video; 2 audio), I ended up with the same result: 352×243.
Oddly, I did manage to get 2 small segments to export as Same as Source (SAS) at 720×480 — with no new re-traceable pattern. I did nothing different when I got 720 than the times I got 352. So, what’s triggering it to interpret it as S resolution when it does?
If I have to customize the export to get it to 720, which is doable, I don’t get a clean same as source export, no matter which compression I choose or do not choose.
How do I trace the root of what’s causing 720 DV to be interpreted as S Resolution?
Thanks!
