Is there any way to reduce the loss of footage from all sides of my shot when I render it in Vegas (v7.0e)? I have shot the footage in widescreen (16:9), 25fps high def and being relatively new to videomaking didn’t appreciate how much room I’d need to leave between the subject and the edge of the frame. Re-shooting is not an option. The rendering process cuts the shot on all 4 sides effectively ruining many shots. Is there any way to avoid/minimise this?
Also, I’m producing the video for DVD (PAL, Australia) but am unsure what aspect ration is best to use. Any advice?
    Thanks
    JD

you’re rendering in 4:3 – change the render template to 16:9

also, change the project properties to 16:9 while you’re about it. And Australia makes no difference – 16:9 is universal
