November 9, 2005 at 10:14 pmKeep an eye on barefeats.com, they recently did a review on Highpoints RocketRAID for PCI-X and mentioned that Highpoint has a PCIe card that is currently lacking Mac drivers. You may want to email them to see if there is anything else out there.

November 10, 2005 at 9:41 pm…to bad it only has internal connectors. But I am using the old Rocketraid
with my old G5 and sofar it has delivered both uncompressed HD as well as SD
using 4 S-ATA drives as JBOD raid 0. Even if it is anoying, it works. So, one of these cards and a 19″ 8 space S-ATA enclosure from Macgurus
and Im a happy camper (untill one drive dies, I know, JBOD raid 0 is a
bit unsecure, today we use FW drives to backup media).cheers,
Robert
