RT Button
So I am confused about the RT button on thetimeline works…
Sometimes when I click the RT drop down menu there are settings that allow me to set low, medium or hight quality and playback frame rate…
But half the time, the drop down options are not there and I just get like three options that dont allow me to downrez my preview so I end up having to render everything…
Any advice?

The full selection of RT options are only available when you are editing in an FCP native codec (as opposed to one that is only available via inherent QuickTime support). There’s a comprehensive list of supported formats here: https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/#finalcutpro
