RSMB Issue
Hi all,
I recently purchased ReelSmart Motion Blur for Premiere Pro, hoping it would solve the lack of motion blur in my speed-ramped edits. Upon using it, I am finding it not looking as smooth as expected. I am getting this strange warping issue (visible in both the program monitor and the exported file). It doesn’t look like the motion blur is travelling in the same direction as the footage and there’s some messy blur happening. There are even frames with bits that have no blur for some reason.
My method of applying the effect is just placing an adjustment layer on the layer above my speed-ramped footage with the RSMB effect applied – Blur Amount: 1, Motion Sensitivity: 70.00.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Your settings for ReelSmart Motion Blur might be having some problems. To enhance the caliber of your motion blur effect, try the following:
1. Configure the settings: Try various values for the Motion Sensitivity and Blur Amount parameters. While a higher Motion Sensitivity will make the effect more responsive to motion, a higher Blur degree will enhance the degree of blur.
2. Apply the effect directly to the video: Try directly applying the RSMB effect to your speed-ramped video rather than using an adjustment layer. This might assist in removing any warping problems brought on by the adjustment layer.
3. Use high-quality footage: Ensure that the video you are utilizing is of a high standard and is free of warping or motion blur. The RSMB effect may make any existing problems in the footage appear worse.
4. Examine your export preferences: Make that the quality and frame rate of your footage is reflected in the export settings. The motion blur effect can have problems if the export parameters are off.
5. Refresh your software: Verify whether the RSMB plugin and Premiere Pro have any accessible updates. The effect’s quality could be improved by updating to the newest versions.
You should be able to enhance the effectiveness of your motion blur effect in Premiere Pro by experimenting with these solutions.
