rs-422 of FCP timeline?
Looking to see if there is a way to control the FCP timeline externally via RS-422 control. Ultimate purpose is for accurate encoding with an external third-party encoder (Digital Rapids StreamZ).
Supposedly Avid will do this. Anybody know about FCP?

Although some things in FCP can respond to Midi Machine Control, I don’t know of any way to control the app via rs-422.
Consider Virtual VTR, which lets you control a Mac and quicktime remotely:
