    At work we’re Avid-only.

but I’m producing-self editing a behind the scenes project at home on my newly installed Adobe Premiere Pro. Then I need to online it at work on the AVID for broadcast use.

Can I do the rough cut on the home machine/Premiere Pro – then export EDL for use at work on AVID?

The project was shot on XDCam, and the files reside on both systems (and I’m not changing file names).

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

A better method is to use AAF export, which should then be able to import to Avid Media Composer.

However, since we abandoned Avid a few years ago for the Adobe editing platform, I can’t vouch for it’s current usability. Back then it was sketchy at best.

Please test the AAF workflow before progressing. If it’s not working, do a test with the EDL workflow. May be more reliable.
