Back in the day I used to use TypeStyler to manipulate text and shapes. What I liked about it was if you use a perspective tool to turn an illustrated wheel (rim with spokes) is a 45 degree angle, the spokes would shrink and expand to the proper angle. I don’t know how to do this in Adobe Illustrator? Any suggestions or assistance on this? Thank you, John G.

    Hi,

TypeStyler is a software to make creative texts and effects similar to Photoshop so the effects and techniques are different than in Adobe Illustrator and more similar to Photoshop. But if you want to turn your texts and shapes in Illustrator in a similar way you would have to use the 3D tools.

You can do that if you create the shape and then go to Effect / 3D and Materials / 3D Classic / Extrude and Bevel. There are multiple options to create the desired angle and extrusion to your shape, so just play around to find out the desired finished.
