    Hey gang!

I have a problem I can’t seem to find a solution for after trying numerous angles to come at it with.

I am having a problem mixing a .png with a shape.

Ultimately the shape will be rotating and moving simultaneously.

I thought it would be easy to just and my logo to this spinning shape either through turning a .png into a shape, parenting, or attaching to a shape and have thus far been flummoxed, basically limited by my knowledge I assume.

picture the spinning diamond/rectangle? from Superman 1&2 which imprisons the Kryptonian criminals but with a logo on it and you’ll see what I’m going for.

I would have thought working with png’s would be easier given it’s all Adobe.

Thanks for reading and /or helping,
    Dave

Hi David, what is your exact problem in detail? ie. I presume you have selected your shape layer and then dragged the png onto it (thus replacing it but keeping its movement) or copied the keyframes onto the png layer and sandwiched them together etc. etc. What you are saying all makes sense, what isn’t working?

do you have the RAP (reposition anchor point) tool….i might be guessing that your anchor points are off or that your layers are offset in 3d space
