    Hi.

I’m just started watching the Lynda tutorials, and am really enjoying creating simple 3D shapes, adding textures, and zooming in / panning around elements.

I’m having a hard time understanding the cameras though, in that when I set a position, move down the timeline and set another position (say closer), on playback, there is a rotation on the camera that often takes my items out of frame.

I admit I have not done many searches for camera work in C4D, but because Creative Cow is so awesome, and because there is no ‘introductory C4D forum’ here, I ask for your patience and hope that someone will point me in the right direction.

I’d appreciate any tips on the stock set up, or plugs / customization.. Whatever work flow or technique is working well for you!

It’s often a good strategy to use a target camera and animate the target along with the camera to make sure it’s pointing in the right direction.
