    Hello,

I try to make a sound rollover on a couple of button in the menu.
The aim is that a sound of 1 second is played when the user roll over the different buttons…

    I don’t know if it’s possible… Maybe it’s very easy for you…
So, if you are able to help, I will be greatfull…

(sorry for grammatical errors, english is not my first language…)

    Thanks

That is not supported by the dvd spec, but you can do it using some workarounds.

You can create a separate menu for each button, and use the auto-activate function with the buttons when navigating. This workaround would only work on set top dvd players and not software dvd players (on a computer). It’s not an ideal way to author a menu, but if you are still interested let me know, because its more complicated to setup than you think.

Actually, autoactivate does work on a “software DVD player” such as my version of PowerDVD. That is it functions like a set top player if you use the little keypad that reproduces the set top function of the computer DVD player.
On the other hand if you just mouse over the buttons, autoactivate isn’t “autoactivated ” unti you click on the button.
    Check this “discussion”.

You are correct, however most people don’t use the arrow keys to navigate the menu on a computer.
