  • Rolling credits vs Fading in and out Credits at end of film in Vegas

I believe that Vegas can perform either rolling credits or Fade in Fade out credits for the end of a documentary. I would love to gather some professional opinions which one is preferred today. This is my first documentary and of course I would love to make it as best as possible and to look as professional as it can be.

It really depends on the length of the credits. No one is going to want to watch 200 fade-in/out credit screens. Usually you will see fade-in/out at the beginning of the credits for the major credits (i.e., main characters, director, producer, etc.) to draw attention to them and then rolling credits for the 500 people who worked on the film. If you just have a few credits then it’s your choice to use either.

Fade In/Out is more readable than scrolling/rolling (while also agreeing that the fade is impracticable for long end credits).
