Rode NGT-3 vs Sennheiser 416
Has anyone done any extensive testing between these two microphones? I’m aware of the 416’s reputation but the Rode seems a little more rugged.

Ive not come across the Rode before, largely because they dont seem to be very high profile in the UK.
I tend to find myself using the 416 in the studio for ADR a lot as its the most likely match for field recordists (in the UK)

Yes, I have. The NTG-3 pattern is a little wider.
