I’m having some issues. Initially, I digitized some mini-dv footage into my FCP using my 10 year old Sony DSR-20 and edited a great little video from it. Made a couple of DVD’s of it then when I went to move the project onto a bigger drive – all my media disappeared on the way. I’ve searched both drives for it and it is gone. This happened once before and it had to do with the time codes and the fact that my deck is so old. The footage just kept disappearing before my eyes!

Of course, now I need to add some more credits to the project right away so I digitized the whole 5 minute video in from the DVD I had made and it plays fine in Quicktime as well as in the Viewer – but the minute I drag it into the sequence it starts to lob of a bit of the right side.

I tried shrinking it a little but the right side is still lobbed off. It seems like something has to be off in the sequence preferences.

    Any ideas?

PS. If you can’t tell, while I’m a good creative editor I come at this from directing so I am not too conversant in the technological aspects.

    Thanks,

    Fran
