Rewind effect for digital video
Need to reinforce something someone says by rewinding a clip and having it play again. Trick is I want to see it rewind. In the “old days” we would record a deck actually rewinding and even steal the sound. Now, in this new digital age, its not as easy. Is there a third party effect that would give me the result I’m looking for?

There are SFX of a tape rewind, and you can take your clip and say, triple it’s speed and check the reverse box. You can put some TV noise over this and mess with the blend modes, there’s some great stuff on Artbeats (film Clutter) and in the Riot Gear disc from Video Co-pilot (highly recommend).
I have done several of these in the past year with great results.
