reversing field dominance
I am having trouble switching the field dominance of clips that have their fields reversed. I have been trying the item properties – format option which allows you to set the field order but not reverse it. I have been getting this problem when using blackmagic upper field first clips in dv lower field sequences. There must be aa simple a way as it was in Premiere 6!! I am using the PAL format.

Thankyou. Works well if a littlt complicated. Why is this not a standard feature of FCP? Is it because it is mainly a PAL problem?

It is! Look under video filters > video > shift fields

is that only in version 5? I have 4.5!!

It is a standard feature, now built into FCP5.
