I am trying to get a live action movie clip to have a reverse shatter effect applied, and I can’t seem to figure out which of the paramaters control the ‘explosion’, so I can manipulate it.
In other words, have the pieces fly in from off screen and magically come together. Any thoughts?? THanks!

it doesn’t work in reverse, but you can take your shatter comp into another comp (or precomp your shatter layer if it is in another comp), then apply layer>time>time-reverse to make it run in reverse.
