    Annoying problem …

I’ve synced up audio and video clips of different lengths using the clapperboards. This usually results in a clip starting with audio, and then the video starting a couple of seconds later, as the sound recordist started recording earlier.

I wanted to reverse one of these merged clips, but when I do so the audio and video don’t stay in sync.

It’s too much to go and re-sync up reversed audio and video clips, I should be able to just drop them into a timeline and click speed>reverse!

Any solutions? I can’t export them as new clips, reimport and then reverse those as it will mess with my conform, as we are working with offline files.

    Thanks. Simon.

    try nesting.

sync the clips in a sync sequence
then use the sync sequence as a virtual source clip (a nest) in your master edit
you apply the reverse to the nest

The nest will mess up my conform though won’t it? I’m pretty sure our workflow doesn’t allow for nesting. Any other solutions?
