  • REVERSE COURSE on software install??

Posted by John Graves on September 19, 2007 at 11:22 pm

HELP~! I made the tragic mistake of installing an automatic software upgrade to my OS 10.3.9 machine. Now I cannot boot into Final Cut Pro…it is an older version. I think it likely that the new version of Quicktime screwed it all up! How can I reverse course and go back to the previous version of Quicktime.??? I will NEVER do this again.

I am running Final Cut Pro 3.

HELP. I have a session Friday and I need to be back up by then.

    THANKS

What aurmatic update did you do? You want from what version to what version?

I think it was 6.5.2, pretty sure. And now I am on 7.2 Quicktime.

I tried the Quicktime 6.5.2 reinstaller from Apple but it won’t let me install on my Mac HD. All drives have a ! exclamation mark — no go.

Perhaps if I reinstalled FCP. I already tried trashing prefs.

Unfortunately, a reinstall of the OS is the only way.

Alright, thanks. I think I will reinstall on an alternate boot drive.
