  • Reveal text as liquid mask

    Hi everyone,

I dont know if this is possible but thought this is the place to ask.
I want to use the image below, and have the teapot seem like its pouring liquid in to reveal the text, so that the liquid is flowing in through the ‘t’ in ‘tea party’ and then the level will rise across all the text, filling it up
    .
Ive separated both parts and closed masked the text (without using the stroke)and now im stuck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

To get the liquid to rise in the text, just use a simple linear wipe, set to wip up from the bottom of the text.
This won’t give you the effect of the liquid pouring and splashing through the text as if it’s real liquid. For that,
you would need a liquid simulator in a 3D package.

    Martin –

You might want to start out playing around (not exactly the appropriate term, since ALL 3D packages take a lot more than playing) with Blender, which, for a free application, has some pretty good liquid simulation capabilities among other things:
