My preferred workspace is composed of 3 areas which occupy the whole surface of my dual screen. The Timeline is the lower part and lies on both screens. The Program + Source panels are docked together on the upper section of my right screen. The Project + Audio mixer + Effects + Effects control are docked together on the upper section of my left screen. Although I have saved this workspace, when I re-open my Project, the 3 Frames described above are superposed in the middle of the workspace and I need to rearrange them. Is there any command that I am missing to dock these 3 frames in place when I reopen the project. Thank you for your cooperation.

Have you saved your workspace? Try Window > Workspace > “Save Workspace.”

Yes I have saved my workspace as I did many times before with other wokspaces. I recently upgraded to CS3.1, can this problem be related to this upgrade?

There does seem to be an issue with CS3 and its workspace. Hope they fix it soon it’s really annoying.
Try reset workspace. Should clean everything up based on the workspace you last told it to work with.
    1. Make your workspace.
    2. Save it.
    3. Set it.
    4. Reset.
Should work properly from then on.
