Retouch a video – Smoke footage
Hi! I am very thankful to have the opportunity to write in such a community. I hope you can help me. This is for me very important and i don´t know anyone who in real life could help me!

i have to hide the hand that is opening and to slow down the napkin that is falling. (sec 26 – 28)
I tried with rotoscope, with other smoke footages but looks always fake. Here is a folder with all my trials..

Try using a matte from the luminance of the footage itself to isolate the smoke and then to build layers on top with smoke from the footage itself and hide the hand. As far as the napkin goes, you can not really slow that down without affecting the smoke, so covering that up as it comes down would be the only option here.
One other option would be to do some time remapping and glow effects (synced to the audio beat) to stylize the footage and thus hide the hand and napkin fix.Tudor \”Ted\” Jelescu
