When I have finished with my retiming in a timeline, the retime bars at the top of each clip remain even when rendered. BUT when I close and then reopen the timeline, the retime indicator bars disappear.

If I select a clip in the timeline and then retime again and slow down by, say 50%, the bar reappears and then if I ‘undo’ the indicator bar comes back showing how much the original clip in the timeline had been adjusted by when I was working on it previously.

Where do I see how much the clips in the timeline have been adjusted by in terms of timing when i reopen a timeline please?

It does not appear to be a preference issue as I have trashed already.

With the retimed clip in the timeline selected, hit command-R. This toggles the visibility of the retime bar at the top of the clip.

If you want to see all your retimed clips, just select your whole timeline and hit CMD+R as Doug said. This will toggle visibility of the retime bar. You’ll be able to tell at a glance what’s slow (orange), frozen (red), fast (blue) or normal speed (green).
