Retime to specific time length?
I shoot a ton of time lapse videos using my GoPro cam. I take these huge folders of images, open QuickTime Pro 7 and “open image sequence” and save out a reference file. Is there some way to retime these huge clips to some specific length? Say, 10 seconds? The only thing I’ve figured so far is to retime them at a macro level, zoom in, retime, zoom in, retime, until I can get to the micro level where I can set the playhead, shift right arrow over how ever many seconds I want to try.
One possibility I thought of was to make an AppleScript that copies 300 photos to another folder, evenly spaced through the sometimes thousands of photos from each time lapse. Retiming after that would involve running the script again to get a different number of frames from the original folder.
Anyone else do ridiculous time lapses and have some interesting way of dealing with them? I don’t mind retiming when I want to change the pacing of something, but I’d love for this initial process to be somewhat easier.
