  • Retain texture when baking Alembic

    Hi Creative Cow members,

I have a character that I am creating for augmented reality.

I am animating it in Cinema 4D and exporting it as a GLB file.

The character has separate geometry for the eyeballs, that follows

the animated body by using a ‘point selection’ within a mograph object.

The only way I have managed to get the eyeballs to work in a GLB file

is to ‘bake as alembic’, however the eyeballs loose there texture?

I have tried making the alembic geometry editable and applied a texture, but the alembic then looses its position data when I export as a GLB.

Does anyone know how to export an alembic so it retains the texture?

    Many thanks,
    Rich
