I have a source ProRes HD file with 608 and 708 captions in the QT ancillary data track for CC. When I make an edit in FCPX and export a new master file, the caption track is sadly, gone.

Is there a way to retain captions in the new edited exported file?

Never mind… they are stripped out.

Hi Keith – Were you ever able to get this to work? Have used the Sugar plug for sub-titles, however it does not do CC. I have to deliver 10 episodes and it would be nice to stay in X. Perhaps its time to crack out the old version of Compressor!

    Chad! What’s happening man?!?

Unfortunately, I never found a good solution to that problem. IIRC FCP7 did retain them. I’m curious if PP or DR12 retain them.
