  • Resolve question: Formats and workflow!

    Hi there,

I’m editing R3D files in Premiere CS6 and usually the workflow between Premiere and Resolve is not a problem.
This time however I have a lot of time remapping which isn’t supported by Resolve.

I now want to convert my timeline into a uncompressed format, grade it in Resolve and bring it back to Premiere.

Can someone walk me through that workflow.

    Thanks so much!

Remapping – do you mean animated speed changes?

If so, one option would be to strip off the speed changes in your AAF or EDL from Adobe to Resolve and grade from the R3D files in Resolve. Then render out to your preferred quicktime or file sequence flavor with source meta data and finish / reapply speed changes in Adobe.
