RESOLVE ON MAC: Will it output 2K-4K?
Posted by Craig Harris on July 25, 2010 at 2:59 amI have heard conflicting reports about the capabilities / limitations of Resolve of a Mac.
My questions:
– Will it output 2K-4K?
– Will it work with / output ProRes 444?
– Will it work with RAW formats like RED, SI2K, Arri RAW, Phaontom? Thanks…

July 27, 2010 at 1:11 amHa! No. It’s just this is a Blackmagic forum. I was intrigued by some of the formats your working with. What do you play a 4K video with out of curiosity? We use some DVS 4K servers at work. You are talking about video right?

July 28, 2010 at 5:36 amOh, I haven’t heard of Resolve for Mac, so I googled Resolve Software and Vectorworks came up.
I did search the PDF for Davinci Resolve and it meantions working with 4k but nothing about outputing it. It does talk about 2k all through the manual though. This is above me. Have you contacted Blackmagin direct about it?
I’m still curious what your playing 4k video on though.
Good luck.
