  Resolve doesn’t keep opacity settings in AAF import

  Hi,

  I’m working in a project where the editor uses a lot of opacity settings in Avid (with superimpose or 3D warp).

  According to page 255 of the Da Vinci Resolve Manual “Resolve supports the import of opacity, resize and 3D Warp effects when importing AAF files from Media Composer or Symphony, which are converted into Pan, Tilt, Zoom, and Rotate settings in Resolve”.

  In my situation, after importing the aaf, the resize effects (in 3D Warp avid effects) are correctly imported in resolve, but the opacity effects (in 3D Warp or Superimpose avid effects) aren’t imported by Resolve.

  What is strange: when you have an effect that resolve doesn’t recognize, there is a message when you import the AAF “Effect xxx is not supported in thes release, plain clips will be imported only”. Here, I haven’t any message, it’s like resolve doens’t see any effects there.

  Anyone had this issue before and maybe a solution ?
