  Resolve, Decklink and grading monitor issue

  Is there anyone out there using Resolve with a grading Display port Monitor?

  I thought I had this figured out but it turns out my solution is extremely glitchy – to the point where I can’t really use it.

  Because I’m forced to use a Decklink card if I want to use Resolve I have the problem of connecting the Decklink card to my Display Port only Monitor.

  I bought an HDLink Pro to solve the problem but it is very glitchy.

  It only works about 50% of the time. Final Cut pro to my 2nd monitor worked 1 day but now it doesn’t work at all with the HDLink connection.

  Does anyone else have a setup like this? Does Resolve work any better with a HDMI (grading) monitor?

  Or is my only real solution that I have to go buy a $5000 SDI monitor?

  And why does Resolve force you to use a Decklink card to connect to a monitor anyway? Won’t HDMI 1.4 and Display port both now handle 4:4:4 and 10 bit?
