    Resolve and a grading house Question

    Hello,

    I’m currently searching for a color grading house in the LA area. I came across MOD Color, and a grader named Jake Blackstone. I was going to call them but had a few questions first.

    1. Has anyone heard of MOD Color, or Jake and do they perform nice work?
    I also saw 4K Finish and a few others? Any suggestions other than those?

    2. Is Resolve worth the cost vs. other grading programs? Resolve is what it looks like they use at MOD and several others. Are there other options I should be looking at or is Resolve pretty much the standard?

    Jake does good work and has a good rep in LA. Paul Provost at 4K Finish is also very good; both have good demo reels out there on the web.
