I have installed Resolve 11 but have 2 problems. One, it does not see my cuda card and I get a warning at launch. It is the NVIDIA Quadro 3000M card in a Dell M6600. Second, the program crashes every time when I try to open a file in the browser (Library?) to import footage. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure your two problems are related. Have you tried updating CUDA?

Juan is probably right (A/U)… what GPU/CUDA drivers are you running?

I see that both platforms you might be trying to operate with are laptops — if you have not done so, and you have been able to run previous versions of Resolve on either of these systems, it might be worthwhile to check the configuration guide on the BMD support page to make sure you are enough above minimums to support not just booting the application.

As I mentioned I have the current drivers. I have used this computer with Adobe PP CS6 with no problems. It has 16 gig of RAM, i7 2820 processor along with the 3000M card. Have not checked BM requirements yet.

different from the requirements of Premiere in many ways.

Problem fixed. It was the way I installed the updated video driver. I did not uninstall the old one and it caused conflicts with the new one. Once I uninstalled properly and then updated it worked fine.

I have noticed very slow response with playing back files in the media pool. It takes a long time to open and then start playback. This should be much faster and all clips should show thumbnails in the folder, not just the visible ones. I have to scroll down to get them to load the thumbnail shot and it is too slow.
