There’s nothing in Resolve 9’s current conform and raw assembly functions that even remotely work as an editor today. So making a viable editor in Resolve 10 would be a huge leap. Take a look at The Foundry’s Storm, which was followed by Hiero. Both are much closer to an NLE in concept, but it would still take a huge effort to make them truly work as NLEs. Not to mention audio…

Got it. The conform functions in Resolve are really designed around how a grading system works and not an NLE. Send media files, send a list and the sequence will be built accordingly. Make changes, send a new list and the available media gets re-arranged. Lots of issues with things like speed ramps, for example.
