resizing video but it wont fill the video screen
I am currently working on a veg file in Vegas Pro 10 that a previous editor left unfinished.
The video is one shot and zooms in and out a tad on the person speaking. When the video starts it fills the entire 1280X720 footage, but later on(even though the pan/crop setting are same) the footage has a black bar above the video. When I grab it in the pan/crop no matter how high I move the video there is still the black bar.
I mainly use Adobe PremiereCS3(which lags like a mofo with HD) so Vegas is not too familiar to me.
It seems odd that I can move the footage early on without issues..Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

You can try right clicking in the Event pan/crop window and select
Match output aspect. And also make sure there is not any
extra keyframes on the bottom at the same time.Steve Rhoden

Thanks for the reply. That didn’t change anything, and there are no keyframes lingering anywhere that I can find.. I right clicked on the Even pan/crop window and flipped vertical to see what happened and the black stayed at the top. Not sure if that is useful..

Make sure there are no stray Track Motion keyframes either. It’s possible that at some point along the timeline, a track motion keyframe shrinks/shifts the track slightly and you end up with a letterbox type effect.
