resizing an image sequence
i’ve got a short animation from Lightwave that i’ve imported but want to shrink the whole thing a bit and move it to a corner of the frame. i select all the frames in the timeline and try scooting them in the canvas, but only that single frame gets moved. is there a way to effect all on a move like that?

I don’t know anything about Lightwave, but it sounds like you have an image sequence?
You can either open the image sequence in QT Pro and export a qt movie, or, you can put your image sequence in a timeline in FCP, and then drag that timeline into another timeline (called nesting) and then the image sequence will appear as one clip with which you can apply global actions/effects.

THAT is a very cool feature! I did the nesting thing. On a related idea, I also found out that when you change the default single frame import size, you have to reimport your still so it will have the new length when put into the timeline. Most people probably knew this, but i just “discovered” it today. Maybe it will help someone else, too.
