    Bit stuck with this one.

Footage on a DVD (only copy). Have used iSkysoft converter (as compressor won’t recognise the file) to covert to what I thought was MPEG-2 PAL, but imported as 640 x 480 30fps!

Created a new project. Changed settings to PAL SD using the wrench. When I drop the footage in it reverts to the footage codec without giving me the option. Now wrench won’t let me change to PAL SD so have changed to 720HD 30fps. It’s for online use, so no biggie.

However, can I for the life of me figure out how to stretch the image without using the awkward distort function that pulls a corner at a time?! No.

    Any suggestions welcome.

In the inspector, click the triangle to the left of the Scale slider, this will open up the ability to scale X and Y co-ordinates more precisely

At the bottom of the inspector you’ll also see a spatial conform with fit and fill choices if that applies.
