  • Resize browser display in secondary Window

Posted by Mark Smith on April 11, 2018 at 4:06 pm

I haven’t been able to figure this out: My secondary display has my FCPX browser window. The browser window fills the display and I don’t see any option to resize the browser window. I’d like to shrink the browser display a bit so if I need to switch to messaging or web browser I can do that on my secondary display rather than the primary screen with the timeline. Can this be done? How do I do it?

No you can’t resize the window if you’ve set it to full screen mode but you can command tab into any app you want on either screen. Not really sure what you’re wanting to achieve.

I’m wanting to shrink the browser window a little bit on my secondary display so I can get to other apps I might need and keep them in the secondary display. I guess I need to figure out if I have set my secondary display to full screen.

Ah – I get what you mean… no, you can’t resize any of the interface on the second screen. It would make sense to do so I guess although if I’m editing, I prefer not being interrupted by anything.

Use the feedback menu item to send a feature request to Apple.
