I added 23 markers and then deleted all of them and then started over with a new set of 23 markers but the default # for the first marker I created (after deleting the initial 23) was marker 24 instead of marker 1!? How do I reset the default marker numbers to begin with 1 after deleting all the markers in a sequence??

Don’t know for sure, but have you tried renaming the new marker you create ‘1’ and then seeing what happens when you create the next one?

AFAIK the previous marker numbers are stored with the clip, even if you close and reopen the project, so there’s no easy way to do what you want. Most people want to rename markers anyway so it’s not a problem.

If you haven’t used the clip for editing yet, you could delete the clip in the Browser and reimport the original media file to reset the automatic marker count.
