    hi there,

working on a current project and im going back to use a lot of old material ive found on my old hard drive. they are final cut AV files. they play perfectly in preview however wont open in any player software. by the look of it im missing some kind of reference file or something like that (untitled av-1 etc). seeing as they play fine in preview i’d assume the video information is there in the file but is there any way of rescuing the information so i can actually edit it, short of just playing the file in preview in full screen and videoing the screen!

any help is very much appreciated

    thanks

Seen the preview, means that you have the preview.
To open the files you need the referenced media.
