So there’s an effect that I’ve seen especially in older videos (70s?) which I can mimic by hooking my camera to a monitor and pointing the lens at the monitor — the effect looks like this: https://vaipan.com/rep.jpg

But is there a plug-in or an effect or some other way I could reproduce this? I’m sure if I even knew what it was called I might be able to find something. Thanks!

The Echo effect is one way.

If you have After Effects, there are many additional ways that involve more power and control, such as the CC Time Blend and CC Time Blend FX effects. (See “Time effects”.)
