I’ve created a menu for DVDSP in Photoshop. I want to create a secondary menu that is exactly the same except for the images used for the buttons. Is there an easy way to replace the current button image with a different image and maintain all the attributes of the original layer (ie cropping, scaling, feather, etc)

Use Smart Objects for the layer…. then apply layer styles…

You can replace the contents of a Smart Object.

You may also want to attach a mask but unlink it

Richard thanks, (for the reply and I’ve been going through your podcast). I tried Smart Objects. I got it to kind of work. I could not get it to “take” the scaling, attributes or the cropping attributes. I will try some more today though.

Add a Layer Mask to the Layer (outside the Smart Object)

Unlink it (click the chain icon)

That will get you closer =)

You also may want to explore using Data Sets as a way to do this
