  • replacing flock of birds with something else?

I need to replace each bird in a flock with a big letter B. Is there a simple way to do this in AE? Nothing else in the scene moves except the birds, and they go in all directions. I have the birds against a totally blue sky and it keys out nicely just leaving the birds. I need the letter B to not just replace each bird, but also follow its same track. Thanks for your help.

Similar to Dave’s suggestion, I would start by creating a clean plate, but instead of tracking each bird, I would use a 3d tracker like Camera Tracker from the Foundry to track the footage, then, instead of creating a camera solve, I would create a Null from each of the track points that track the birds and parent a layer with the letter B to it.
