Just wondering, I have built a project with some nested compositions based around some text. Once completed, I dumped all the stuff that makes one text composition in a folder, duplicated the folder a bunch of times so i could change the text used in each of the folders.

Now of course, the nested compositions still “point” to the original composition not the one in the new folder. How can i easily change where after effect grabs the composition from so that i don’t have to make the position adjustments each time i change the text. i was hoping you can do something similar to re-linking footage that has been moved.

ALT+drag your new comp from the project window onto the “to be replaced comp” in your timeline.
