I have a question about iterations of color correction. Say I’ve applied a 3-way color correction filter to a bunch of clips in the timeline, but over time have decided on a new master cc setting, saved it as a favorite and would like to apply this new improved cc filter across the board. With the Avid, the new overrides the old, whereas with FCP it seems additive, that is it adds the new on top of the old. What’s the fastest/best way to apply the new filter with the result of replacing the old cc filter?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Paul,

you might try to select all of your clips and then control-click. A dialogue box will appear allowing you to remove attributes. If you select this feature, you can remove filters. If you have multiple filters (besides just the cc on the clips) you may run into problems though. Then simply highlight all the clips you want to add the new cc filter to and drop it on.

    Best of luck.
