Replace Text on Chalkboard Behind Teacher
I am working on some SD footage of a 30-minute TV Program recorded in the early 90’s.
The program features a Teacher standing in front of a chalkboard.
The problem is that the chalkboard has a phone number on it that is no longer valid. My task is to replace just 2 digits of the number with correct digits, making the phone number correct. This wouldn’t be a big deal except that the teacher keeps leaning in front of the number. It is usually only for a few seconds at a time, but it happens about 80 separate times throughout the program. Fortunately, the camera is mostly stationary.
For the times that the number is clear, I can simply mask the digits that need replacing and put a corrected image behind. Not a problem. Looks great.
For the times the teacher is leaning in front of the incorrect digits I thought I could use the roto-brush, but this will take many, many hours to accomplish.
Anyone have a good idea on how to make this fix faster and easier? This is just the first of 12 programs I have to do and I really can’t spend several days on them.
Thanks!
