  • Replace Footage?

    Hi all

I am working on a project where I need to swap out some footage to replace it with other updated footage. The new footage and old footage are the same size, so I just want to be able swap out the old for new. Essentially give all the old property values to the new footage.

Is there a way to easily just replace footage? It’s fairly simple in After Effects so I figured there would be a way in Motion, but I can’t seem to find it.

Thank you all for you help. It is always enormously appreciated.

    Thanks, John

Drag and drop the new footage over top of the old. It will retain all the formating/key frames so on… of the clip it’s replacing.

Make sure you see a box appear around the lower (old) clip. If you see a line below or above the clip you want to replace, you will only add the new clip to the group, not replace the old clip.

Do this in the Layers tab (F4)
