  • Repeat/Loop videoclip in FCP

    Hi all FCP users

I have a simple question but still no answer found. In After Effects you can easily tell a videoclip to repeat/loop itself a “number” of times which saves time duplicating the clip over and over…..

Is there any simple way of doing this in FCP?

    All the best

    Hi Mikael,
You don’t have that option in FC.

Cmd-C to copy, then Cmd-V a hundred times or however many loops you need.

    All the best,

As Tom says, and when you have a bunch of clips lied down, Cmd-C to copy, then Cmd-V and you will stick a bunch each time.

I know this is a really old post but I thought I’d give an answer anyway.
You can loop a selected clip by placing an “in” and an “out” where you want the clip to loop. Choose View>make sure that “loop playback” is checked. Then choose Mark>Play> In to Out.
