Repeating Vertical Glow
Hey guys!
First post here, so hopefully I’m making sense here.
I have a layer that has an adjustment layer over it. The adjustment layer has a glow effect applied, and is masked so you see the glow in a sliver on the layer underneath. I can animate the adjustment layer to have it bounce up and down between two set height values…but how can I have it actually go from the bottom to the top, and then start from the bottom again and repeat.
I want it to look like the lines in a gauge are glow in sequence from bottom to top, and then starting back over again.
Am I going about this the wrong way? Is there any easier way to do this?
Hopefully this make sense. If it doesn’t, I can try and post some images.

You could possibly add a second mask to the adjustment layer and set it to subtract and then animate the second mask according to your desired animation to reveal the glowing area you want. Cycle the animation of the second mask.
