Hey, I’ve got a complicated key that I’m putting together with several different pieces, edge mattes and core mattes, etc… I’m using the Simple Choker on one of my mattes, and it’s doing what it should, but it’s also eroding the edges from the border of the frame — sort of the equivalent of if you used a blur without checking “Repeat Edge Pixels”. I was wondering, is there a way to choke a matte while also getting this sort of Repeat Edge Pixel type of thing going on?

Actually, I just figured out a method if anyone is interested. Apply a “Motion Tile” effect to the footage, BEFORE the Simple Choker effect, and set the Motion Tile to “Mirror Edges”.

    Clever approach!

If you’re a Sapphire user, check out this thread on Pixel Spread [link] — you can use S_Distort with the Fine option checked.
